The above diagram talks about how a Scheduled Unit record in the system can be graded by specifying assessments that would make up the unit enrolment result of a student enrolling in that particular scheduled unit.
Let's take a look at the basics of Assessments in Paradigm.
Describes the specific assessment tasks associated with a unit. Assessments include items such as essays, quizzes, exams etc.
In Paradigm, there are two ways you can add assessment records, one is to add them on the base unit level (base assessments), and another way is on the scheduled unit level (scheduled assessments). You have the option to define once all assessments related to a unit in the base unit level and just copy the records on the scheduled unit level based on the delivery mode (if applicable) or just copy the assessment records from the base unit to the scheduled unit level.
To add assessment records to the system the following records are prerequisites: Provider, Base Units, and Scheduled Units. The assessments added against a Scheduled Unit define the student's unit enrolment result for that specifically scheduled unit enrolment.
