The above diagram talks about how a student's course progression record in Paradigm can be governed by the Course Outline structure of that particular course enrolment. The units that make up the course outline contain the details vital for the course enrolment's progression.

Let's take a look at the basics of a Course Outline record in Paradigm.

## Course Outline

The Course Outline menu in Paradigm allows you to manage all the units under a Course and make it available for students to enrol with ease and track the progress of their enrolment.

## Paradigm Context

A Course Outline record in the system requires the following records as prerequisites: Provider, Base Course, and Base Units. All the units added to the Course Outline collectively define how the student can progress with the course and its overall result.
