The above diagram talks about how a student's result of a unit enrolment can be a product of a scheduled unit's sessions and assessments.

Let's take a look at the basics of Student Result or Academic Records in Paradigm.

Student Results

Defines the academic grade of the student in a particular unit of study. The student result in Paradigm for a unit of study can be a result of the set assessments specified in the scheduled unit.

Paradigm Context

In Paradigm, you can add the final grade of a student's unit enrolment in a lot of ways depending on how you are using Paradigm's possible data relationships.

To add a student result to the system the following records are prerequisites: Provider, Base Units, Scheduled Units, Course and Unit Enrolments. If assessments are added against a Scheduled Unit, it can be used to define the student's unit enrolment result for that specifically scheduled unit enrolment.

Record Dependency Summary

To summarise the diagram in relation to the student's academic records: Note that the Sessions (attendance) can also be a part of the Academic record story of a student's unit enrolment. If the course is governed by a Course Outline, the unit enrolment result contributes to the overall course progression.
