The above diagram talks about how a Person (Student or Contact) can be enrolled on the courses offered and the scheduled units and will have their own course enrolment record and a unit enrolment record in the system in the instance that they will enrol on any of the offered course and scheduled units.
Let's take a look at the basics of a Unit Enrolment record in Paradigm.
Describes the academic progress in a unit of study for a specific student in a specific course
A Unit Enrolment record in the system requires the following records as prerequisites: Provider, Base Course, Base Units, Scheduled Units, and Student. Once the student is enrolled on a Course - the Course Enrolment record will now hold the academic progression of the student in that course of study. After enrolling on a course, the student can now enrol on scheduled units that will now create a unit enrolment record in the system that will hold the academic progression in a unit of study in a specific course.
