Delete Appointments

This page will provide the instructions when deleting an appointment in an event in Rapla.

Overview

Deleting Appointments in Rapla is possible and will not create any issues as long as the session is not yet synced to Paradigm. Refer to the warning message below for instances when you have already imported the event that you want to delete an appointment. This knowledge article will provide you with the steps on how to delete an event's appointment in Rapla.

WARNING:

If you have already synced to Paradigm the appointment that you want to delete in Rapla, the synced appointment will not automatically be deleted in Paradigm once you do a resync after the delete action in Rapla. If you want to get rid of the appointment/session, delete the sessions in Paradigm first before you delete the appointment in Rapla and do the resync.

Workflow

There are two ways you can delete appointments of an event in Rapla. Choose between the two options below on how to delete appointments in an event: Delete via the Edit option or Delete via the Delete Appointment option

Delete via the Edit option

1. Right-click on the Paradigm Session where the appointment that you want to delete is under or directly on the Appointment Session that you want to delete and click the Edit option. This will open the Paradigm Session details.

2. Go to the Appointments section, 1 Make sure that the Appointment to be deleted is currently highlighted/selected, and then 2 click the Delete button. Click the Save button to save the changes to your event/session.

SUCCESS:

The Appointment has now been deleted. In relation to the Warning sign above, make sure that the sessions in Paradigm are already deleted before you attempt another resync.

Delete via the Delete Appointment option

1. Right-click directly on the Paradigm Appointment Session that you want to delete and click the Delete Appointment option.

2. Select the required delete button based on the descriptions below:

  • If you have selected the main Paradigm Session or Event and clicked the Delete Appointment option, the options to delete are the same as below except for the 2nd option series. The main Paradigm Session or Event will make the 1st Appointment as the series to be deleted.

  • If you are deleting a repeating appointment, you will be prompted with three options on what to delete:

  • If you are deleting a one-off event/appointment, you will only be prompted with these two delete buttons( 1 and 3 in the table above).
