Change Field Options

This page will provide instructions on how to change the field options as one of the workflows when you want to change the data schema in Rapla.

Overview

The options you can choose in each field in Rapla when you add new resources and events can be customised if your business requirements will change in the future. In the example below, when adding a new Paradigm Session event type in Rapla, the following fields, highlighted in red have default options set for you to choose from.

Refer to the Workflow below for the instructions on how to change the field options.

Workflow

1. Take note of the field name that you want to edit the options, e.g. add a new option to the Session type field.

2. Go to the Categories folder on the left-side menus. Select the folders where you want to make changes to the options. Note the following options when selected:

WARNING:

You are not allowed to make any changes, or delete the options to all fields critical to Paradigm sync, see Prepare Rapla events.

Add a New Field Option

In the sample screenshot below, the Sessions is selected to add a new session option from the Session type field.

It will open the Edit Category window for you to add the details of the new category. Refer to the table below for a description of each field to fill out.

Edit a Field Option

To edit a field option, select the field option that you want to edit and select the Edit option. Edit the necessary fields as shown in the above table and image. You have the option to edit the name, key, and colour. Refer to the table above for a description of each available field to edit.

Delete a Field Option

To delete a field option, select the field option that you want to delete and select the Delete Selection option. A confirmation message will appear of your action, just click Yes.
