Impact: LOW Change (5)

This page will discuss the implications to a specific change in Rapla you will make to an event already imported to Paradigm.

Overview

Rapla Appointments section - Edit the Resource Allocations section (Facility: Room Number or Staff/Teacher) with or without enrolments

BE ADVISED:

Adding new appointments under a Paradigm Session/Event is NOT recommended if you are using the Session Group and Class, see Use Multiple Appointments.

Resync Status

  • event_id: No Change

  • appointment_id: No Change

  • Message: Success

Paradigm Implications

As long as you only edit the Allocations section details(e.g. Facility and Staff changes), when you do a resync, your changes will be reflected in your previously imported sessions. Basically, if you update any of the fields under the Allocations section without making any changes to the details above, all changes will just be automatically synced to the previous sessions as edits/updates to the existing ones.

NOTE:

If you happen to delete an existing appointment and recreate it, even if the details are the same as the previously imported appointment, during the resync, it will be treated as a new appointment and will therefore be added as new sessions rather than just updating the existing ones. If this is the case, it would be best that you delete the previously imported sessions before doing the resync to avoid duplicates.
