Repeat Events

This page will provide the instructions when creating a repeating event in Rapla.

Overview

Repeating an event to a number of occurrences is possible in Rapla. When you create an event in Rapla, by default, the event is set as non-repeating and will give you the options to select the days, time, and finally the number of occurrences you want the event to happen. This knowledge article will provide you with the steps on how to add or edit a repeating event in Rapla.

Workflow

NOTE:

The instructions below assume that you have already filled out the first section when adding an event in Rapla, see Choose an Event Type.

1. Edit the event that you want to add a repeating session and go to the Appointments section. The default one-off event will be shown on the screen specifying the start and end time you've highlighted on the main calendar view.

2. To create a repeating event, go to the right side of the Appointments section and choose between 🔘Weekly, 🔘Daily, 🔘Monthly, or 🔘Yearly. Refer to the descriptions of each section on the right from the table below.

Take note of the following controls for your repeating events in Rapla:

B. Every * and the Day

e.g. Thursday every 2 weeks from * to *

C. Exceptions

option to add excepted days, see Add Exception Dates

D. Start and End Time

specify the start and end time of the event, you also specify the start date of the event, e.g. Weekly from the (date)

E. Number of times

specify the end date of the set repeating event, e.g. until or x number of times and then set the end date

3. After setting up all the required details for your repeating event, you have the option to add more appointments or proceed to allocate resources.
