Impact: HIGH Change (1)
This page will discuss the implications to a specific change in Rapla you will make to an event already imported to Paradigm.
Overview
Rapla Event section - Adding New Event with Group and Class Number values to the Existing Session/Event with Group and Class values and with enrolments
Scenarios:
New Events that require a student to select from the available options, e.g a Scheduled Unit has an existing 2 lecture sessions available applying the correct group and class number values, and you will decide to add 3 additional tutorial sessions that the student is required to choose one from the 3.
Adding new events that require a student to automatically enrol once a specific group is selected, e.g. automatically enrol to a Tutorial class once Lecture 1 is selected.
All additional events with the group and class number values being added to the existing events/previously imported to Paradigm
Resync Status
event_id: No Change
appointment_id: No Change
Message: Success
The new event containing the group and class number values will be added to Paradigm
Paradigm Implications
The newly created sessions/event with the group and class number values will just be successfully synced to Paradigm added to the existing/previously imported sessions. However, the new logic/design will only be applicable to new enrolments after the resync. The previous enrolments prior to the resync will not be updated automatically unless you will do a manual enrolment via the SCHEDULED UNIT SEARCH or perform bulk enrolments updates to the existing enrolments.
A new feature to manage sessions is now added under the Student > Course Enrolments > Units menus under the CLASS TIMES section, more details on Manage Session Enrolments.
