Scenarios
This page will give possible scenarios when Session Group and Class might be used in your business or institution's sessions.
Overview
Using the Session Group and Class fields when creating a Paradigm Session event type in Rapla will greatly help in providing an optional schedule for your students when enrolling into units. This will also organise your sessions better and will allow students the flexibility to choose the schedule they preferred. This knowledge article will provide an overview of possible scenarios you can use the two fields.

NOTE:
The scenarios below are just examples of possible session requirements in a business or institution, please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or inquiries on the following scenarios.
When a scheduled unit has two or more possible sessions a student can choose from when enrolling on a scheduled unit, but you want to restrict them to only choose one from all the available sessions, then this scenario will address that session requirement.
▫️Scenario 2When a scheduled unit has two or more possible predefined session combinations (e.g. Lecture + Workshop) a student can choose from when enrolling on a scheduled unit, but you want to restrict them to only choose one combination from all the available session combinations, then this scenario will address that session requirement.
▫️Scenario 3When a scheduled unit has two or more possible predefined session combinations (e.g. Lecture + Workshop) a student can choose from when enrolling on a scheduled unit, but the student can still select one from any of your predefined combinations, e.g. selecting Workshop2 from the Lecture + (Workshop1 or Workshop 2) combination, then this scenario will address that session requirement.
▫️Scenario 4When a scheduled unit has two modes of delivery (Online or On-Campus) and each mode is combined with a different session type, e.g. Lecture online will require a one-time seminar at the end of the semester while if it’s a Lecture on campus will require an on-campus workshop, then this scenario will address that session requirement.
▫️Scenario 5This scenario applies to when a scheduled unit has two or more possible classes delivery (i.e. Lectures) a student can choose from, however, you want to restrict the student to choose only one combined grouping from all the available lecture sessions.
