After you created sessions for a specific time period in Rapla, it is ready to synchronise these sessions to Paradigm. The workflow on this article assumes that your data (sessions) in Rapla meets the requirements for the data migration to run without causing errors in Paradigm. This knowledge article will guide you on how to set up the integration between Rapla and Paradigm.
NOTE:
The below instructions are based on the assumption that you have the FULL ADMIN account access level in Paradigm to manage the data synchronisation between Rapla and Paradigm.
1, 2. Log into your Paradigm account. Choose System > Rapla Session Import from the side menu. It will direct to the following screen:
3. Enter the following details of your sessions from Rapla to be imported to Paradigm.
WARNING:
Doing a resync to your sessions can have implications on your previously imported data. Learn more about the level of impact your changes can do when you do a resync of your sessions to Paradigm in this article: Change Event.
We would highly recommend that you only import your sessions once everything is finalised.
4. Click the UPDATE SESSIONS button.
SUCCESS:
In Paradigm, you can double-check if the import has been successful by searching for the Scheduled Units and going to the Sessions section. Expect to see a list of sessions you just brought across from Rapla to Paradigm. Alternatively, you can also use Report Builder to validate your imported data, see Validate Imported Data.
Field Names | Notes/Description |
---|---|
A. Semester Start Date and End Date*
Enter the Semester Start and End Date of the sessions that you want to import - all Paradigm Sessions created should be within the Scheduled Unitโs Start Date and End Date fields which are also the same or within also the Time Period (Academic Term) where the scheduled units are created, see Prepare Rapla events. You can also manually enter the Semester Start and End Dates by editing the date fields directly instead of choosing a particular semester date from the dropdown.
B. Session Unit Code
Enter a Session Unit Code (optional) if you only want a specific or ONE unit code to be imported. Leave this field blank if you want ALL the Paradigm Sessions created within the dates of your specified semester start and end dates from step 3 (imported or synced to Paradigm) - if you enter a unit code in this field, you have to make sure that it matches 100% to the scheduled unit record in Paradigm, see Prepare Rapla events.
C. Scheduled Unit Providers
Select a Scheduled Unit Provider if you only want the specific Provider sessions you want to import across from Rapla - the Campus field in Rapla should be the same as the Home Institution field in the scheduled units in Paradigm, see Prepare Rapla events.
