Sessions are the individual classes for a particular unit. These can be tracked, attendance recorded and timetabled for student attendance and tracking. As sessions can also involve managing your resources, we are supporting Rapla as a third-party software that will help you manage your resources and at the same time add sessions to your Scheduled Units, see Rapla Knowledge Base. However, adding sessions directly in Paradigm is also possible. Refer to the instructions below.
Prior to following the instructions below, the following is assumed to be true:
The Scheduled Units that you want the sessions added already exist, see Add Scheduled Units
Contact our Support Team to discuss more details on the requirements when adding Scheduled Sessions in bulk. The fields available when adding a Scheduled Session to the system can be found on the Scheduled Sessions Record Type page.
Search for the Scheduled Unit record where you want to add the sessions, see Search a Scheduled Unit.
Once the Scheduled Unit record is loaded, choose Units > Scheduled Unit Details > Edit Scheduled > Sessions menus on the side or scroll down the page to get to the SESSIONS section.
In the SESSIONS section, click the NEW SESSION button.
After clicking the NEW SESSION button, go to the SESSION DETAILS Form section and fill out all the available information relating to the new session that you want to add. Refer to the Record Type Scheduled Sessions page for a description of each field.
NOTE:
If you are using the Session Group and Session Class fields, refer to this Rapla documentation. The logic is the same when creating sessions using Session Group and Class directly in Paradigm.
After filling out all the required and necessary fields, click the SAVE SESSION button.
Repeat the same steps when adding more sessions to the same Scheduled Unit record.
Refer to the Rapla Knowledge Base section.
