# Access to the Student Portal

## Overview

Access to the Student Portal depends on how you are using Paradigm from accepting students to courses and enrolling into units. Refer to the following ways on how students can access the Student Portal:

## Using the Online Applicant Portal

If you are using the Online Applicant Portal, the recording of students' information is all done online and once the students are accepted to the course, you have full control if you would want them to proceed with logging in to the Student Portal to view their details and also to enrol into units. Refer to the [**Online Applicant Portal**](https://docs.silverband.com.au/home/paradigm-knowledge-base/student-enrolments/online-applicant-portal) documentation to understand the whole process and decide which applies to your business or institution. The proceeding to the Student Portal happens on[ Step 4 - Accepting or Deferring an Offer](https://docs.silverband.com.au/home/paradigm-knowledge-base/student-enrolments/online-applicant-portal/using-the-applicant-portal/step-4-accepting-or-deferring-an-offer) of that documentation.

## Directly in Paradigm EMS

If you are not using the Online Applicant Portal and you want the students to be given access to the Student Portal, refer to the [**Student Login**](https://docs.silverband.com.au/home/paradigm-knowledge-base/student-enrolments/workflows/manage-student-records/student-login) knowledge article for the details.
