Cross Course Prerequisite Units

For cases when some of your units in the course of study require a prerequisite unit from another course, e.g. a Unit in the Master's Degree requires a prerequisite Unit taken in the Bachelor's Program, the Cross Course Prerequisite Constraint Type can be used to define the Unit's allowable for enrolments status in the Course Plan.
A Unit with this constraint type will only be made available for enrolments in the Course Plan once the prerequisite Unit from another Course is completed.
Load the Base Course Record where you want to apply the Cross Course Prerequisite Unit constraint type, see Search for a Base Course
With the Base Course record loaded in the system, choose Courses > Outline menus on the side.
On the Course Outline page, click the ADD CONSTRAINT button.
Go to the UNIT SEARCH section below and search for the units where you want to apply the constraint type.
(1) Locate the Unit in the current Course where you want the constraint to be tied to and click the Add As Unit icon on the right-hand side (in the example screenshot below, unit ComSci100 is selected).
(2) Locate the prerequisite Unit from another Course and click the Add As Constraint icon on the right-hand side (in the example below, BEM1006 is selected from the BAComSci Course since this will serve as a prerequisite unit to ComSci100 Unit from the MITS Course).
After selecting the unit and its constraining unit, go to the EDIT COURSE OUTLINE DETAILS section. Note the Unit Id and the Constraint Unit Id fields, both are pre-filled already based on the selections that you made (from step 4).
(1) Set the Constraint Type to Cross Course Prerequisite Unit.
(2) Select the Course where the prerequisite Unit belongs under the Child Program Id field
Click the SAVE OUTLINE CONSTRAINT button to save the new constraint.
The newly added constraint will be shown in your COURSE OUTLINE table with the Cross Course Prerequisite Unit constraint type.
