Assign an AVETMISS Contact

Overview

When you need to change your AVETMISS Contact Person, you can do so as a Provider, however, you have to carefully read the BE ADVISED section below to ensure that your report will not break. This knowledge article will guide you on how to add the role to your new AVETMISS Contact Person in Paradigm, and how to remove that role from your previous contact.

BE ADVISED:

AVETMISS Contact Person can be updated by the Provider, however, you must ensure that there is only ever one contact record that currently holds that role. Any other contact must have that role removed from their contact record, at the same time that the role is added to a different person.

Workflow

STEP (1) Load or Create a new record for the New AVETMISS Contact Person

  1. To avoid duplicates, you have to make sure that the new AVETMISS Contact person doesn’t exist in the system by trying to search for that new contact’s details first via the Contacts > Search menus on the side, see Search for a Contact in Paradigm.

  2. After checking for duplicates, if an existing record has been found for that new AVETMISS Contact person, proceed to the instruction below STEP (2) to assign it a role. If there is none, you can now proceed to create the new Contact Record. Refer to the instructions in this how-to guide: Add a New Contact or User in Paradigm.

STEP (2) Assign a Role to the AVETMISS Contact Person

  1. With the new AVETMISS Contact record loaded/added in the system, under the ASSIGNED ROLES FOR CONTACT section, select AVETMISS Contact from the drop-down list, and click the ASSIGN ROLE button.

  1. The new Contact Person is now being assigned as the AVETMISS Contact.

STEP (3) Remove the role β€œAVETMISS Contact" from the Previous AVETMISS Contact Record

  1. As mentioned in the BE ADVISED section above, you must ensure that there is only ever one contact record that currently holds that AVETMISS Contact role, you must remove that same role from your previous contact record.

  2. To remove, and search for the previous AVETMISS Contact Record, see Search for a Contact in Paradigm.

Go to the ASSIGNED ROLES FOR CONTACT section, and click the DELETE button (bin icon) against the role that says β€œAVETMISS Contact”.

That old contact has now been disassociated from that role.
