# Error: Could not find Person entity...is still referenced from table"communication\_event"

## Issue

An error occurs when attempting to delete a student record, and the message is as follows:

This occurs when attempting to permanently delete a student record while there are still associated communication events or emails linked to the student.

## Resolution

1. With the Student record loaded, Navigate to **Student** > **Communication** menu.
2. Edit each associated email, set the **Status** to **Closed** and then **SAVE ONLY**.

3. Once you have addressed all associated emails for the student, you may proceed to delete the student record permanently.
