# Students can still enrol in the Course Plan: How to Close the Course Plan for Enrolment

## Issue

Even if the Course Plan menu is hidden from students, they can still enrol in individual course units if they have saved the Course Plan page link.

## Resolution

Hiding the Course Plan menu from students may not prevent them from enrolling in units if they have access to the link. To ensure that enrolments are completely turned off, it's best to set the **ENROLMENT\_PERIOD** configuration period to the date when enrolments should end. To do this, go to **System** > **Edit Time Period** and select the **Configuration Period** type. Then, edit the ENROLMENT\_PERIOD id and adjust the **To** date accordingly. Refer to the attached screenshot instructions for guidance.
