Text Message (SMS) Sending

This page will provide an overview on how you can get started with enabling the text message (SMS) sending in Paradigm

Overview

Paradigm supports a text message (SMS) type of communication with students. Refer to the following information on how you can avail of this feature:

Steps to Get Started

  1. Request an account from the SMSGlobal sales team

  2. State that you are a Silverband client

  3. Wait for your account to be created

  4. Generate a REST API Key following these basic instructions

  5. Share the key with the Silverband support team via our helpdesk portal

The following are required to be included in your ticket for the SMS Configuration:

  • SMS API Key - the REST API Key

  • SMS Client Key - the Secret Key

  • SMS From Text - your institution-specified text as the sender's name for your SMS communications, e.g. Silverband

Our support team will then assist you with the final configuration step so you can start sending your first batch of SMS messages.

BE ADVISED:

Before sending communications in Paradigm, it's important to ensure that you've followed the Initial Setup and Configuration Requirements outlined here. This helps prevent your communications from being classified as spam.
