NAT00060 - Unit of Competency/Subject File

Overview

The Subject (NAT00060) file contains a record for each unit of competency, accredited unit or module associated with enrolment activity during the collection period. A unit of competency, accredited unit or module can be studied independently but is usually offered as part of a qualification, course or skill set.

The Subject (NAT00060) file provides information about units of competency, accredited units and modules that are undertaken and/or completed by clients during the collection period.

File relationships

For each unique Subject identifier in the Subject (NAT00060) file, there must be at least one corresponding record in the: Training activity (NAT00120) file. If there are no subject enrolments and therefore no Training activity (NAT00120) file, then the Subject (NAT00060) file is not required.

Subject File Structure

Workflow

  1. Choose Reports > AVETMISS menus on the side.

  2. Find the Unit of Competency (NAT00060) file and click the GET REPORT button

  3. Refer to the following parameters when generating the report:

  • Institution: Choose the VET course provider

  • AVETMISS Report template: choose 2018 NAT00060 Subject (Note: Government has no major updates to the AVETMISS reporting guidelines since 2018) 2020 NAT00060 Subject, Victoria report template is for Victorian state reporting

  • Submission Year: the year you are submitting

  • Unit Start Date: From and to period, select the reporting year, for example, 01/01/2019 to 31/12/2019

  • Unit enrolment Status: The system has picked a few by default

  • Course/Degree: leave it blank, the system will pull the relevant course/degree

  • Funding Source Identifier - State Training Authority: This field is for providers who need to do State VET reporting

  • Report Mode: choose Ultra-fast mode when the option is available

5. Click the PRODUCE REPORT button after setting the fields mentioned above.

6. In the new page, right-click on the blue hyperlink 'Here is the file' and choose "save the link as.."

7. Save the file to your preferred location

8. Open the file and double-check the file content.
