Error: Could not enrol student into unit. TCSI reportable unit missing details. Check the following

This error occurs during Unit Enrolment with the following full message:

Could not enrol student into unit. TCSI reportable unit missing details. Check the following fields: Census Date, Unit of study year long indicator, and Dest Discipline Code.

Resolution

The Scheduled Unit is missing either the Census Date, the unit of study year-long indicator or the discipline code for TCSI reporting. These values will need to be corrected at the Base Unit and Scheduled Unit levels.

1. Load the Base Unit record of the Scheduled Unit that is having that error, see Search a Base Unit record

2. Once the Base Unit record is loaded, edit the following fields under the EDIT HEIMS DETAILS section:

   • Unit of Student: Year-Long Indicator

   • HEIMS Discipline Code

3. After adding the two fields above, click the SAVE UNIT button to save your changes.

4. Load each Scheduled Unit that is currently being offered and make sure that the HEIMS Census Date field is set accordingly. If the Census Date is missing, refer to the Time Periods: Add a Census Date workflow to add a Census Date item.

5. Click the SAVE SCHEDULED UNIT button to apply your changes. Even if the Census Date is already correct, still click the save button to update the changes you have made from the Base Unit level.

If the Unit is not meant to be TCSI-reportable

If the Unit is not meant to be a TCSI-reportable unit, set the Scheduled Unit record Home Institution field to a non-TCSI reporting Provider. Refer to the instructions on how to make a Provider record a non-TCSI reporting Provider.
