# TCSI Error Code - 10557

### Inconsistent Credit Provider Code ([E566](https://www.tcsisupport.gov.au/element/566)) / Credit Basis Code ([E561](https://www.tcsisupport.gov.au/element/561)). <a href="#inconsistent-credit-provider-code-e566-credit-basis-code-e561-." id="inconsistent-credit-provider-code-e566-credit-basis-code-e561-."></a>

## TCSI Error Description <a href="#tcsi-error-description" id="tcsi-error-description"></a>

Please check the Credit Provider Code (E566) and the Credit Basis Code (E561). The Credit Provider Code (E566) must be blank where the Credit Basis Code (E561) is not for prior study at an Australian institution (E561 is ‘0400’, ‘0500’ or '0600').

> If the Credit Basis Code (E561) is ‘0400’, ‘0500’, ‘0600’, the Credit Provider Code (E566) must be blank (null).

## Paradigm Error Resolution <a href="#paradigm-error-resolution" id="paradigm-error-resolution"></a>

Paradigm Error: TCSI Error 10557ADMLOG

Subpacket: COURSE ENROLMENT: PRIOR CREDIT

Credit Basis Code Reported: "Credit offered for work experience undertaken inside or outside of Australia" - 0500

The solution is to check the Credit Provider Code (E566) and the Credit Basis Code (E561). The Credit Provider Code (E566) must be blank where the Credit Basis Code (E561) is not for prior study at an Australian institution.

**Student** > **Course Enrolment** > **Student TCSI Edit**

If you’ve selected any of these 3 **Credit Basis Codes** (*as shown in the above screenshot*):\
(<mark style="color:green;">**1**</mark>) Credit was offered for a study undertaken at an education provider outside of Australia\
(<mark style="color:green;">**2**</mark>) Credit was offered for work experience undertaken inside or outside Australia\
(<mark style="color:green;">**3**</mark>) Other

Then you cannot set a **Credit Provider Code**, it **MUST** be **BLANK**.
