Customise the Student Side Menus

Overview

The menu options that Students can see on their portal are customisable. Users with the FULLADMIN permission level can manage which options are visible to students via the menu option System > Menus Edit as follows.

Workflow

Choose System > Menus Edit from the menus on the side.

(1) Select Student Access Level and click the (2) SEARCH SIDE MENU button.

(3) In the MENU ITEMS section, only make the Student menu visible by making the eye icon appear, without the line through it. You have the option to make the other menu items visible as you choose, but our experience is that students do not need access to any other menu sections.

(4) Click the SAVE MENU button after making the Student menu visible (as shown in the screenshot below).

(5) Click the + (plus sign) against the Student menu to expand the list of options that are available under the Student menu, where you can further set the visibility of its sub-menus. Select the sub-menus that you want visible on the Student Portal and click the SAVE MENU button.

Follow the same process for any other main menus that you have made visible.
