Student Portal: Summary
Overview
The student summary page serves as the landing/main page of the student once they are logged in to the portal. This page is grouped into several sections that your business or institution has the option to customise and decide whether to make them available or hidden from the student summary screen.
Refer to the following sections in the Student Summary screen, what information or options the students can do, and how you can configure them as the administrator of Paradigm.
(A) Announcements
You can post announcements to students from time to time - and this will be viewed by students on their summary screen. If the announcement is no longer relevant, you also have the option to hide it from the student screen. Refer to the workflows regarding student announcements here.
(B) Student Details
This section is where the students can see an overview of their details. You have the option to allow them what fields to view and what fields they are allowed to edit, see Edit Form Fields. The ACTIONS menu button options found here are highly customisable.
(C) Student Image
For concerns about students uploading inappropriate photos of themselves without reviewing them first, by default, we turned this feature of allowing students to upload a photo on their own. Contact our Support Team if you want this feature safely enabled.
(D) Course Enrolments Section
The Course Enrolments section is where the students can see the Courses they were or are currently enrolled in. The ACTIONS button against each Course Enrolment record gives them the option to view the Course details, view their academic records, and print their academic transcript. Again, the options you will allow them to perform in this section are highly configurable and customisable depending on your requirements
(E) Unit Enrolments Section
The students can view all their enrolled units under this section. They have the option to see their Grades, Marks, Loan and Unit Enrolment Statuses here.
(F) Attendance Summary
The Course Enrolment Attendance Summary Section gives the students their attendance statistics. This can be used if you are using Paradigm in tracking your students' attendance to their enrolled sessions, see Taking Attendance.
You can enable this feature of Paradigm if you set the Base Course Record field named Show Attendance for Course on Student Summary to Yes. To make this section visible on the Student Portal, you also need to make the form called STUDENT_SUMMARY_COURSE_ENROLMENT_ATTENDANCE visible on Student Access Level, see Edit Form Fields.
(G) Advisor Reports
This section contains the reports information the students have from their advisors, see Advisor Reports. To make this section visible on the Student Portal, you need to make the form called STUDENT_SUMMARY_ADVISOR_REPORTS_SECTION visible on Student Access Level, see Edit Form Fields.
(H) Review Summary
This section contains the reviews the students have received in their course of study from their reviewers, see Student Reviews. To make this section visible on the Student Portal, you need to make the form called STUDENT_SUMMARY_REVIEW_SECTION visible on Student Access Level, see Edit Form Fields.
