Bulk Students Password Reset

This workflow applies specifically to instances where a Token-Based Password is designated as the login method for your students. If your system is currently configured with a different default password setting or has not yet been updated to use Token-Based Passwords, please submit a ticket so we can assist in configuring this feature on our end.

Prerequisites:

  • Your site's default login option or password policy is set to Token-Based Password.

  • System configuration for PRIMARY_PROVIDER_ID is established.

  • Side Menu Bulk Password Reset is enabled for all Full Admin users on your site.

  • The workflow also assumes that your site's email communications are working as expected.

These prerequisites are handled by our team once you've requested either the use of Token-Based Passwords or initiated a Bulk Student Password Reset email.

Workflow

  1. Create a bulk list of students to whom you want to send the password reset link, see Upload a Bulk List of Students.

  2. Navigate to Student > Student Details > Bulk Password Reset menu.

  3. In the BULK RESET STUDENT PASSWORDS section, edit the email accordingly.

NOTE:

You can customise the default template by accessing the Data Resource Number BULK_PWD_RESET_TKN. Simply click on the 'VIEW EMAIL TEMPLATE' button to make any necessary edits.

  1. Click the SEND button.

This action will send a password reset request email to all students in the bulk list.
