TCSI Error Description
Please check the Remission Reason Code (E446) and the HELP Loan Amount (E558). The debt amount incurred on the census date must be retained in the HELP Loan Amount (E558) including where the debt is subject to a remission after the census date.
Error Logic
If the Remission Reason Code (E446) is not blank (null) and the Student Status Code (E490) is '110', '201', '230', '231', '232', '233' or '401' to '410', then the HELP Loan Amount (E558) must be greater than 0.00.
Paradigm Error Resolution
The contents of the field HEIMS Student Status needs to be updated as per the following government advice (Error Logic statement above)
However, in lieu of the government extension to the loan fee exemption until 31st December 2021, for non-Vet Student Loan (VSL) unit enrolments with a census date in the calendar year 2021, the best resolution is to update the field HEIMS Student Status (E490) to set the student as an upfront student, rather than as a recipient of a loan fee.
To edit the E490 field for each Unit Enrolment record, edit the Unit Enrolment record and go to the TCSI INFORMATION section. Edit the Student status code field accordingly.
To edit the TCSI Student Status (E490) field in Paradigm default value in the Course Enrolment record level for future Unit Enrolments, you can go to Student > Course Enrolment > Course, and look for the field highlighted in RED in the screenshot below.
The value set for the Course Enrolment level is automatically applied to the E490 field for future Unit Enrolments.
