Citizenship Packet [E358]

Important Notes

  • Element E358 - Citizen resident code validation is crucial before creating any Unit Enrolments for a Course Enrolment in Paradigm.

  • The E358 value sent to TCSI upon Unit Enrolment creation is the currently validated code with the "From Date" that's before the Unit Enrolment's Start.

  • Always ensure the Citizenship Packet is added and valid before adding any new Unit Enrolment to avoid validation errors from TCSI.

  • Any changes to the student's citizenship require adding a new packet and validating it before creating new enrolments. DO NOT ADD a new citizenship packet if the previously reported one is still Invalid. Validate the previously added Citizenship packet first before attempting to add a new one.

  • The E358 code must be compatible with the student's E490 code especially if the student is changing their unit fees funding. Update the E490 field appropriately in case of a significant change in the student's E358 code.

Workflow

  1. Navigate to Student > Course Enrolment > Student TCSI Edit menus on the side.

  2. Go to the STUDENT: CITIZENSHIP section.

Choose the appropriate workflow for managing the student's Citizenship packet:

Create a New Citizenship Packet

To add a new citizenship packet, (1) click the NEW CITIZENSHIP button and fill out the required fields accordingly:

  • Citizen Resident Code - (2) Select the correct E358 code according to the student's circumstance

  • From Date - (3) Set the date of the citizenship effectivity. The date entered here should also be before the Unit Enrolment Start Date

  • Status - (4) Make sure that the status is set as Active

  • (5) After you have filled out the required fields, click the SAVE DETAILS button. This will submit the data to TCSI and will return the Dest Uid value if valid. If it returns as Invalid, check the E3558 code entered and the From Date, the values entered might conflict if there are already existing Unit Enrolments.

Edit an Existing Citizenship Packet

To edit a citizenship packet, (1) click the EDIT button against the packet that you want to edit, (2) edit the required fields accordingly, and then (3) click the SAVE DETAILS button to save your changes.
