Step 4 - Match the Unique Identifier Fields for Existing Records Search
This page contains instructions on the fourth step of creating a new Import Profile using the Import Wizard
In the EXISTING RECORD SEARCH section, match the unique identifier fields from your source file to Paradigm’s equivalent primary key.
Start by clicking the (plus sign), choose the Paradigm field, select the Import File name (your data source file), and the Import File field. By setting this section, Paradigm will search and compare the records based on the unique identifier column you’ve selected and will take action based on how you want the system to handle matching records (see Step 5 instructions).

For cases when your data source file has multiple unique identifier fields that you can manipulate and you want them included in your condition on how your import profile will work if there are existing records in the system that match during import - you can add groupings to your unique identifier fields by using the AND and OR logical condition.
(A) Click the (Plus sign) to add more unique identifier fields to match that are relevant for each group
(B) Click the (Add Group button) to add more groups of unique identifier fields
(C) Click the (AND and OR conditions) to toggle the logical condition of your unique identifier fields grouping. NOTE: If you want all the unique identifier fields to be true, then set both logical conditions to AND.
(D) Click the (DELETE button) against the group of unique identifier fields that you want to delete
