# TCSI PIR Reviewing Data

## Overview <a href="#overview" id="overview"></a>

Right after you have downloaded your reports in Paradigm based on the instructions on this page: [TCSI PIR Downloading Data: Workflows](https://app.gitbook.com/o/sKrEpOcwixBOaKMqV0Bh/s/C21t2SaV2eKaLxvtR27D/~/changes/PSJBI8BfZPtsbBKSb7bM/tcsi-reporting/pir-reporting#workflows), we would highly recommend that you will do a final review of your data prior to submitting them to TCSI. The workflow below will guide you on ways to review your data.

## Workflow <a href="#workflow" id="workflow"></a>

### 1. Check and verify the information within Paradigm <a href="#id-1.-check-and-verify-the-information-within-paradigm" id="id-1.-check-and-verify-the-information-within-paradigm"></a>

Refer to this Knowledge Base article for the location of the element numbers if you want to edit some of the fields in your reports prior to submission: [**TCSI for PIR Providers**](https://docs.silverband.com.au/home/paradigm-knowledge-base/tcsi-reporting/tcsi-element-dictionary/tcsi-for-pir-providers)

{% hint style="info" %}
**NOTE**:

Paradigm offers the capability to alert you of any missing fields in the [Students](https://docs.silverband.com.au/home/paradigm-knowledge-base/tcsi-reporting/pir-reporting/pir-students-report), [Course Admissions](https://docs.silverband.com.au/home/paradigm-knowledge-base/tcsi-reporting/pir-reporting/pir-course-admissions-report), and [Unit Enrolments](https://docs.silverband.com.au/home/paradigm-knowledge-base/tcsi-reporting/pir-reporting/pir-unit-enrolments-report) Reports by running the reports that have a \*TEST ending. You can find the details of the instructions in the workflow section of each report.
{% endhint %}

### 2. Confirm the reports generated with the PIR required file templates <a href="#id-2.-confirm-the-reports-generated-with-the-pir-required-file-templates" id="id-2.-confirm-the-reports-generated-with-the-pir-required-file-templates"></a>

Our PIR reports are designed for convenience by just running the report from Report Builder in XLS format, then uploading the file to TCSI Data Entry written to have the same column headers and column order as in the required template given by the government, so it should not require manual editing.

Refer to this government page if you want to learn more about the required file templates: [**Provider Information Request 2022 file templates**](https://www.tcsisupport.gov.au/support/provider-information-request-2022-file-templates)

### <mark style="color:green;">**OPTIONAL**</mark><mark style="color:green;">: TCSI - Testing for Providers</mark> <a href="#id-3.-optional-tcsi-testing-for-providers" id="id-3.-optional-tcsi-testing-for-providers"></a>

Refer to this government help page if you want to do some testing or trials on uploading test files before sending out your actual, final, live data: [**TCSI - Testing for Providers**](https://www.tcsisupport.gov.au/Transitioning-to-TCSI/testing-for-providers)

{% hint style="danger" %}
**BE ADVISED**:

When opting to do some testing prior to submitting live data to TCSI, the government has recommended not to use personal data and ensure you safeguard private information by applying the [Test data considerations](https://www.tcsisupport.gov.au/Transitioning-to-TCSI/testing-for-providers#accordion-2474)
{% endhint %}

These are some of the help or support you can find on this page:

* Confirming and familiarising yourself with new reporting functionality
* Verifying migrated data
* Required for software implementation

### 3. Upload files to TCSI <a href="#id-4.-upload-files-to-tcsi" id="id-4.-upload-files-to-tcsi"></a>

Once all your reports are verified and finalised, upload the reviewed and finalised reports that you have downloaded in Paradigm to TCSI. Refer to this government page for guidance in using TCSI Data Entry: [<img src="https://www.tcsisupport.gov.au/themes/custom/tcsi/favicon.ico" alt="" data-size="line">Using TCSI Data Entry | TCSI Support](https://www.tcsisupport.gov.au/support/using-tcsi-data-entry)

## Check your data <a href="#check-your-data" id="check-your-data"></a>

The government has the following recommendations on what to do after you have uploaded the files:

* Check the data in TCSI to make sure it is complete and accurate
* Verify your data – due 30 June 2022
* A snapshot of your data will be converted into reports
* Providers need to check the reports to ensure the data is accurate, as it cannot be changed after it is signed off

Always refer to the [**Provider Information Request Webinars**](https://www.tcsisupport.gov.au/support/training/pir-webinars) page to stay up to date on any changes to the PIR Reporting.
