Issuing Credit Notes
This page contains instructions on how to issue credit notes
Overview
For cases when you need to issue credit notes to your customer (Student, Agent), you can do so by loading the original invoice that has been created and paid off and then following the instructions in this article.
BE ADVISED:
An invoice must have been created and paid off (status of Paid) in order to create a credit note.

Workflow

Outlining the step-by-step instructions on issuing credit notes
Choose Accounting > Invoices menus on the side. Go to the STUDENT INVOICE LIST section, click the ACTIONS button against the paid invoice and select the Create Credit Notice option.

A warning message will appear (screenshot below) asking you to confirm your action. Click YES to proceed.

The STUDENT INVOICE LIST section will reload and show the credit notice that you just created. – Invoice Type: Customer Return, Status: In-Process, Total and Owing: negative amount.

You can now proceed to the Recording Customer Returns Workflow to process the refund.
