ERROR: The following error(s) occurred with your eCAF enrolment request: [403] Error connecting to the API (https://ecafapi.education.gov.au/v1/ecafs/XxXxXxX/progressions)
The [403] part of the message means that the eCAF API system has replied that the password as stored in Paradigm has an Incorrect login ID or password.
This problem usually arises when the correct eCAF API username has been used, but the password has expired, and a new password must be created for your institution's eCAF account.
You will need to login directly to the eCAF website https://ecaf.education.gov.au/ and click on the link shown here:
On the new screen, login using the existing institution account username at step #1, as recorded in the Paradigm System > eCAF Login screen. Use the existing password at step #2 for your institution's account, and click Sign In at step #3.
You will need to create a new password according to the password rules that have been set for the eCAF system. We recommend that you use a password generator to create the password for you, and make sure that you record that password securely.
Once you have created that new password, save it somewhere in a secure place, so that you will be able to use it to login again. Please return to the Paradigm menu of System > ECAF Login screen, and paste the new password in each of the password fields, and then Save the record, so that Paradigm has a record of that password and can use it to login to the eCAF system on behalf of your institution.
Return to the Paradigm screen where you encountered the eCAF API error message.
Repeat the steps that you originally completed, and then attempt to submit the data again.
If any error messages appear, please raise a new Helpdesk support request ticket and include those messages, and details of the steps that you followed, so that we can investigate further.
